Looking for ideas for parts for NA RX7s

We're trying to decide what items the NA owners are looking for. If you could give me some feedback on items that you would like, but aren't readily available, or are not even manufactured, it will GREATLY aid our R&D and speed up turn around time on the things we choose to make.

Right now, off the top of my head, I'm thinking of:
  • wet nitrous kit for 13b
  • carbon fiber gauge cluseter overlay
  • hard intake tube
  • cold air box

It's been a while since I've owned an NA, so any feedback is GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks,
Nick

The wet nitrous kit, I'd be interested in. Possible the cold air box too. What about suspension?

A nice carbon fiber hood OEM style (not TII)...and yes the intake hard pipe would be great cause im lookin for one right now....also maybe a replacment lid for the center counsel that has a built in cup holder....made of like carbon fiber and aluminum....id buy that if the price was good!

The intake is a good start. There are some wet nitrous available but I dont think that they are designed specifically for the RX.

Some of us N/A owners would like a Turbo2 or a FD, can you make them cheaply? Seriosly though, I think a hard intake pipe would be great, as well as an air box. Nitrous depending on price.

*edit* Also Ive seen the CF gauge overlay on ebay for $20, so I dunno if itd be worth the time to make that.

Larger diameter Air Fuel Meter, something in the range of 4.5 inches would be great

Id defetly pay for a hard intake tube, like a polished color would be cool and defetly a cold air box. I went to home depot the other day and bought alluminum sheet and couldent figure out a way to shape it or really to make the the AFM along with my filter fit in a custom made cold air box.

I would also like a side dump pipe that I can control from inside the car.

The ones currently sold leak and sound like crap.

Carbon fibre hoods might be intresting. Different style tailights? Or different headlights. Somethin that doesn't cost an arm and a leg

These are all great ideas... but I'm not sure what the "dump pipe" that was referred to is.

I'm looking for things to enhance performance of an NA. There are already a lot of suspension options out there, so I don't think we'll be dealing with that... unless I'm missing something....

E6KT2 has the headlight kit in the works and we'll have one done and painted with pictures in about two weeks on my car. That is more of a universal part (can be used on T2s or NAs)... same with the hoods.

Any more performance related items you would like? Maybe an electronic actuator to control the 6ports when you have an open exhaust? Would people buy that?

Pop up style or a retractable one like the stocker one is? Pop up & removable would cut about 40 lbs off of your car cuz you get to ditch the motor and harness, not to mention the heavy metal sunroof itself...

A bracket that allows you to add a Full range TPS to the S4 throttle body would be kind of useful...for all those people that would like to add an AFC/Haltek

Electronic 6 port and VDI control that allowed adjustment from inside the car? throw in an electric air pump assembly to allow removal of the air pump.

A hard intake pipe without all the bends would be killer

Carbon fiber sunroof replacement!!! Drop in replacement for the steel unit. Screw the glass one...its to heavy.

That's it for now.

Cold air box is a really good idea. There was lots of interest in the one the guy made that made one recently.

IF I AM NOT MISTAKEN, MARIAHMOTORSPORTS.COM ALREADY HAS A COLD AIR BOX, BUT A NICE CHEAPER ONE WOULD NEVER HURT. HARD INTAKE PIPE IS DEFINITELY BE NICE, MAYBE A WHOLE TUBE STYLE COLD AIR INTAKE. FRESH AIR HDLT COVER THAT WORKS WITH COLD AIR BOX(ACTUAL DYNO TESTING) WOULD ALSO BE NICE. INSTEAD OF DASH OVERLAYS WHY NOT CREATE A WHOLE CARBON FIBER DASH KIT REPLACEMENT, ALSO A NICE INEXPENSIVE SHORT THROW SHIFTER, CARBON FIBER DRIVESHAFT........JUST A COUPLE OF IDEAS I HAVE SOME MORE IF YOU NEED THEM.

1. Hard pipe intake. Perhaps a kit that comes straight out of the throttle body - relocating the AFM and filter - drawing cold air from inside the passenger side fender. No bends - Shorter tube - reduced resistance to the air that is passed through the restrictive AFM

2. Heat Shield to mount between aftermarket header and Lower Intake Manifold. They have them for carb setups, but I haven't found a premade one for the 6 port induction.

3. Interior components - Gauge mount cluster to fit in the center console below the existing audio, or above it with a bracket to relocate the audio downward.
Possibly gauge cluster in idiot light location and relocate idiot light cluster to center console. - Center armrest with cupholder!!! - CF or Aluminum dash
