Talking Looking for a helping hand from 2nd geners

Hey everyone,

How's it going? I don't usally come into this forum for I own a 1st gen. I was wondering if any of you wonderful 2nd gen owners would by any chance have the extra parts for a live lug conversion for a 1st. I'm having problems finding the correct parts in my area. So, any help would be appreciated. I would be willing to pay for the parts.

The parts are for a '83 GSL. Thanks.

What were you planning on doing about the steering rack and hubs on the front? The FB uses a steeering rack mounted behind the front axle(i know there really isnt one, but imagine a line through the center of the hub) while the FC uses a steering rack in front of the front axle. You cannot use FC front hubs without having them modified to move the steering arm to behind the front axle. The oil pan and engine subframe effectively make it nearly impossible to use the FC steering rack in front of the front axle to use the FC hubs without modifying them.

I know it's been done. I'll try to find what the specifics are.

Bottom line, anything can be done with enough money. It *is* possible, but takes a good bit of fabrication. Probably the easiest way would be redrill your brake rotors to accept a different bolt battern.

very true. in any case all the wheel designs that i like are for the 5 bolts.
i'll spend the money and time to convert it. i want to rebuild my GSL in time for my wedding so i can show it off to people. hehehehe
