looking for help over heating

my 90 rx7 vert is shouing 1/2 heat on the tranastat
i got home and it started to over heat
what can i look at to find the problem
the car verver sade it whas to hot
and it started 5 hour later whith no proplem

Check the usual American English suspects first:
1) thermostat (sticking)
2) fan clutch (worn)
3) radiator (old & clogged)
4) water pump (old & corroded)
