Looking to get into a FC

Well, it's been 2 years since I bought my Neon. I was younger and stupid then. I actually passed up a rebuilt 87 TII because I was wanting an 89. Live and learn. Now I'm back and ready to build myself a race/stree car. My Neon, which I still enjoy, can run back and forth to fetch parts. Here's the thing though. I want to get into an FC, but I know I won't have the cash for a good TII this time around, unless it's not running or something. Now, I've got a couple of questions.

If I do buy a TII that's not running but isn't rusted out and looks good otherwise what do you think I should pay? (ballpark of course)

If I decide to buy another model which do you guys recommend, as this car will have a turbo put on it? I'll be building the car to do roadracing, going in straight lines gets boring pretty quick. Are there any major motor differences between the 13b in the TII and the other models?

What should I be looking for when I buy either of these cars?

INFORM ME! I really want to get into an RX7 by summer. I'm ready to hear anything, and to be pointed to good websites and keep reading. Thanks in advance!

$500.

If you want the power, stick with the turbo.  It's a waste of time trying to upgrade a non-turbo to match the turbo's power in the long run (boy, I can hear the groans now).

Gee, does anyone search???
