I am currently looking at a 1990 RX7 convertible, has just shy of 159k miles, need a new front bumper and has a hole in the sunroof checked it out and it seems like a good running car - I am just trying to gather some research before I commit to buying a vehicle (they are wanting 2k cash or more for financing)

I would like to know what the common problems on these vehicles are and if there is anything in particular I should look at extensively before purchase.

Before I get flamed for search button... I did use the search button but it just yeilded a wide amount of problems that I did not think were applicable to my question.

Thanks for any help in advance and I hope to become a part of this forum through this car if I purchase it.

 

Try doing a google search for "RX-7 buyer's guide", and you will get a variety of sites with differing amounts of things you should look for, as well as the ways to look for them.

That's what I did before I bought mine.
