Looking at a 10th AE, need a diagnosis

Hey guys i found a 10th AE here in town, and It has a few problems that i dont know what they could be. Supposedly it has a new motor in it. The motor is a fresh rebuild from adkins rotary, and an upgraded turbo. The turbo is stock but all ported with different set of wheels. The car starts and runs, but only for a few seconds, and then shuts off because of fouling the plugs. It has S5 rotors, 3mm apex seals, six puck clutch, 14psi wastegate, upgraded fuel pump, and injectors. The guy selling it only wants $1500 for it, and im trying to scrounge up the money for it. I would LOVE to have a turbo, and a 10th AE would be a dream. Anyways, what do you guys think? heres a pic of it BTW. Thanks.

I'd pay 1500 for a 10AE with no engine.

if it starts and then cuts off, make sure the AFM and associated piping is secure.

its in really nice shape too. The interior is perfect, except the driverside seat is torn on the outer bolster. the dash is perfect, and there are no rips or tears in the carpet. It also doesnt have any dents or anything on the outside. the only problem is the headlight covers are pealed.

I know for a fact that the bov is not recirculated, and that the intake is plugged where it should be recirculated. Im thinking that if the bov isnt sealed at idle its letting too much air out of the system and causing it to run rich. The BOV is stock, and so im not sure if they leak at idle or not (i know my DSM did). The other thing i was thinking is that maybe the secondary injectors and primary injectors may be switched, so this could also cause it to run rich at idle. I dont know though if the car will stay running with the rpms raised though. What do you guys think?

It's gated @ 14psi? Any sort of engine management? Either way that's a hell of a deal. I would definately jump on that!

Im gonna try to get it before anyone else has a chance to pick it up, im just worried about the wierd flooding problem and how it wont stay running. All i have to do is get my finances inorder and then ill get it. I guess this means my ZX2 with full boltons on nitrous will have to go...Then Ill have two FCs, and an FB though and that'll be sweet. So you guys dont know what could be causing its over fueling? Could it be one of the things I listed above, or maybe because he has an upgraded fuel pump in it, and no FPR? I'd really appreciate the help on this. Thanks guys.

I had the same problem when im BOV was not recirculated into the TID. It would start, but it would die within a couple seconds. I routed in and that fixed the problem.

Hope that helped you.

get it!!! are you sure that the only reason it doesnt idle is because of fouled plugs?? id say a purchase of some plugs is worth it in this case to see what you are getting into.
