Come on guys, leave him alone. Just because it is not for you, dosen't mean it is bad. If he likes the wing, he is the one paying for the car, so he gets to choose. All we need to do is answer his post, not flame him because you don't agree with his opnions. In short: GROW UP.

Whats funny is that no one said anything against the wing until one person brought it up. After that the flood gates opened. It seems like most people wait to make sure it'll be cool to call the wing rice. I've noticed that "anti ricers" are as big or bigger followers then "ricers".

 

Well, I never said the wing looked bad.. I was pointing out the reduction in performance the car would most likely suffer.. I actually like the look of the wing. I would prefer it on a car that needed it though.

I'll be the first to tell you that GT-Wings belong on GT race spec cars only.
I think the things look awful on anything but a handful of cars.

I would get that spoiler only if my 7 wasnt my daily driver. i know for sure that either the spoiler would get stolen or my car would get vandalized. and i don't live in the ghetto either.

 

well at least an rx7 can use a spoilers rear down force in some positive way. them guys who do that to their hondas and such are wasting money, o yeah and on slow cars too :P

 

Don't accuse me of jumping on the bandwagon...I've been criticizing those wings for a long time. "Regret" is such a fitting name.

 

I say paint that wing CLEAR that way you won't be able to see it. It's damn ugly....especially on an FC. I do agree that it's your car and you should do what you think looks good though.

i have nothing against wings like that. but i do have something against a wing that doesnt fit the car. and this one doesnt fit the FC. i am not gonna tell anyone what to do with their car but i think it is fugly. those wings belong on formula cars. our cars have good lines and they make nice wings that follow the lines really well. i have seen one badass one on a yellow car that has shaved mouldings. why ruin a good looking car with a fugly wing that has virtually no practical use?????

I've saw a 3rd gen with a similar wing and it looked nice.I don't know what it would look like on a 2nd gen but just the other day I was wondering.I'd like to see it when you get done.That one pic doesn't look that bad but I'd really need to see a side view before I could say for sure if I like it.

 

i'm not putting the wing on untill i get the front bumper from pan speed and my TII hood and in Aug. i am putting a jspec TII in it all decked out i got a guy down here who is building it for me. porting 3mm apex seals the whole works and he is only charging me 3,500 for the motor tranny comp wiring harness and to do all the work and do the motor swap so the wing will serve a purpose. i am taking my other one off cause somone tried steeling it 4 days ago.

 

I'm just glad u don't live near me, I'd have to rip it off your car just so people don't associate "rx7's" with hondas.

 

no one will mistake my FC for a honda trust me i got a huge mazda sign on my back window. you cant call me a honda what about this FC i saw at daytona??? ill post pics

Now for balance, you need another one like it on the nose. I heard that F1 cars have enough down force at 100+MPH to drive on the top of a tunnel..
