Time for the RHD conversion. Right guys?.........Right???? Seriously though that is a nice front clip i guess! It looks like it was someone drifting toy that got away from them. I imagine that the back end got trashed and that is why they divvied it up. Good luck with the conversion to Turbo or just swapping in the J-Spec!!

Damn nice looking!

It is spotless under the hood from that pic.

It would be sweet to be able to get that RHD in but you'd either need to weld that front end on or do some firewall modding to your current.

Pretty sweet though.

Just talking out of my butt - but I seem to remember hearing that when vehicles are scrapped out in Japan there is some obscure requirement that they be cut up. Thus we only get halves of cars. I do know that the laws over there are heavily weighted against used, older cars, with strict expensive inspections to keep their registration - so people throw them away and get new ones.

Also, I read that the banks don't require full coverage, as nobody would be dishonorable enough to default on a loan - even if they wrecked their car.

I am certain I am jealous because I can't have a Jspec front clip!

they send clips because you can pack more clips than you can full cars, if you spent close to 2g's you should have gotten a rear end with lsd, susp, and brakes right?
Did you get a compression test done on it or start it yet? before you pull the motor? Looks like you need a afm then a fuel pump, a battery, and a couple wires to start that sucka up and here how she runs. but be ready for some loud ish caus you probably only have the jdm stock dp on there.

I'm not positive on tihs ubt I have heard one reason they pull front clips only is because if they take the whole car they have to jump through more hoops to get it over here(customs, certification, etc). Some what the same reason why it's hard to bring Jspec vehicles over here.

Looks exactly like what I bought to start my conversion, down to the color. Except I got the rear end (subframes, diff, everything) + driveshaft with it as well. I paid right around $2000 for mine, and promptly had kevin landers rebuild her. The insides of mine were near perfect so I hope yours comes out the same way.

BTW I sold the front clip but still have the Knight Sports Tach and Speedo that were in the car.

are you going rhd? or just tII?

clips are sold because cars can not be exported from japan unless they are considered destroyed, or whatever they call it, basically cutting it in half, and the good stuffs usually upfront. although like someone said you can sometimes get the clips with the complete driveline tucked in too.

Just going T2. I considered doing the RHD thing, but it'd mess up my firewall too much, and it's alot of work. I'm comfortable with driving on the left.
