2oz wieght removal and now the mess below the manifold can be seen, in my opinion this is a step down rather than up.

A bit of an old thread, but cool work nonetheless. I've done this to several NA manifolds (including my own) and TII manifolds and it really helps the look of the engine bay. It makes the engine seem more intricate. One could also argue that the increase airflow around the runners means a cooler intake charge, though I doubt it makes much of a difference.

Now just polish the casting marks off and either chrome, powder coat or anodize...

If nothing else, it might be easier to wrap with insulation, keeping the intake temps down...hmmm.

Hook me up on tickets.lol

Beautiful work you did to the manifold.
Can I send you a few of mines?
I can think of a few ways this helps and one of them being more space for heat to pass and escape from the area under the manifold.

Send me a PM.

I hadn't thought of that before. I'm glad you said that Icemark. I was thinking about doing this if I got bored enough, but I need it to support the engine for installation.

Maybe a better phrase would have been functionless but different It does look a bit better, doesn't improve anything though. Even if you can now see under it, you can't reach through it to get to anything under it. And I sure any extra flow around it is negligible. All I meant was that it is aesthetically pleasing but that's it. Which is fine, since I'm that's all the OP was going for.
