Long Primary Exhaust
Hey guys, I've been looking around a lot lately and I still haven't found this topic.
What is the ideal primary exhaust runner length before collecting or exiting the system?
Also, has anyone tried a long primary to collector to single muffler on an S5 N/A
One of my friends did this on his GSL-SE w/ S5 Intake and saw great gains.
But so far I haven't seen this on an S5.
I have not seen any pre-made systems for the S5 exhaust that are of this type.
My plan was a RB RR header TO RB RR presilencer TO custom collector TO RB N/A RR muffler.
Let me know what you think and if you can post links do so.
Thanks guys.

Is that you one you mean?
If it is a different one I would like to see it. If you don't mind sending me a copy of course.
My friend "DB" used to cruse the forums here often but I lost touch with him.
Just about 3 years ago he got his GSL-SE running with a S5 intake and a RB long primary exhaust. That car can move! I've never been in an RX7 that was that fast.
And aside from those mods the engine was basically stock. To my knowledge...
Just before I moved he was working on converting his OMP to run 2 stoke oil only.
Any way, If anyone knows anything on this subject then let them know about this topic please. I really appreciate the input.
Thank you.
