Logicon Repair Question
Buttons would not re-direct flow, all else worked. Removed logicon, re-soldered all connection points. Now get intermittent (on sometimes, off sometimes) working of the heating controls. I had searched thoroughly before attempting fix. Ran into a few probs, namely the 'black snake cable', but managed to perform resoldering with the cable connected.
Now I am at an impasse as to how to proceed. Since re-direction was the only thing wrong, my repairs seem to have made things worse. I thought I had done a fairly good job, already repaired CPU and idiot cluster with success.
Could anyone give me some ideas on what I might do to get things working again. If I have to put in a new/used logicon I could do that but at this point I don't know if that is the solution. Is it possible that the air mix motor is a culprit here? Thanks, and I appreciate any assistance.

The first thing you need to ask yourself is "Am I comfortable with the soldering I did?" You said you soldered the CPU and the idiot cluster, are you confident your soldering isnt to blame? If not the first place Id looke would also be the air direction motor. Download the Facotry Service manual at www.fc3s.org and check the voltage it should be seeing.

Remember when resoldering you need to remove the old solder, before flowing new solder in.
If you just heated the existing crappy solder back up, in most cases the job will be worse than if you just left it alone
