Lo Imp. injectors...Hi Imp. wiring

Ok, so I've done a bunch of searching trying to figure this out and getting some info here and there and figured out how to do it....I figured make it easy for the next person by showing how I did it step by step.

(feel free not to do it this way but it works)

After finding out that it doesnt matter which wire you decide to put a resistor on, I decided to put it on the heaviest gauge wire. Having the GReddy 720cc injectors (denso style) it required me finding some injector clips because the stock S5 are oval. Luckily we had a broken down P.O.S Mitsubishi Diamante and I took the injector clips.

Yay! Picture time....

You can pick up the same resistors at radio shack for two dollars. Theyre cheap and fireproof. I read some ppl put them on the harness before the ECU for saftey purpose "protect from heat" but honestly +275 degrees celsius...c'mon.

<a href="http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/turbo_hatch93/?action=view&current=100_2205.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/turbo_hatch93/100_2205.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
<br>
<a href="http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/turbo_hatch93/?action=view&current=100_2204.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/turbo_hatch93/100_2204.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<a href="http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/turbo_hatch93/?action=view&current=100_2201.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/turbo_hatch93/100_2201.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<br>

Heres a tip...sotter the resistor to your clip first. It sucks tryna sotter underneath your hood.

<a href="http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/turbo_hatch93/?action=view&current=100_2211.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/turbo_hatch93/100_2211.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<br>

Lube up....

<a href="http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/turbo_hatch93/?action=view&current=100_2207.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/turbo_hatch93/100_2207.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<br>
Yeah....its a lot better when its nice and lubed. The last thing you want is for your O rings is for them to get ripped during installation.

Now lets get underneath the hood.

<br>
<a href="http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/turbo_hatch93/?action=view&current=100_2198.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/turbo_hatch93/100_2198.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<br>
If you have a top mount Inter-heater (like myself) take it off and unbolt your upper intake manifold, throttle cable, AIT sensor, TPS, map sensor and all vacum lines.

<br>
<a href="http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/turbo_hatch93/?action=view&current=100_2199.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/turbo_hatch93/100_2199.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
<br>

Disconnect the stock clips and unbolt fuel rail. Take off your injectors and get ready for some new ones....
<br>
<a href="http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/turbo_hatch93/?action=view&current=100_2200.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/turbo_hatch93/100_2200.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
<br>
<a href="http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/turbo_hatch93/?action=view&current=100_2209.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/turbo_hatch93/100_2209.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
<br>
Sotter the already sottered clip to you engine harness. It doesnt matter which wire you use. I used the heaviest gauge wire....Personal choice I guess.

<br>
<a href="http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/turbo_hatch93/?action=view&current=100_2213.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/turbo_hatch93/100_2213.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
<br>
<a href="http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/turbo_hatch93/?action=view&current=100_2214.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/turbo_hatch93/100_2214.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<br>
Wrap it up. Lots and lots of E-tape.

<br>
<a href="http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/turbo_hatch93/?action=view&current=100_2215.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/turbo_hatch93/100_2215.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
<br>
<a href="http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/turbo_hatch93/?action=view&current=100_2216.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f228/turbo_hatch93/100_2216.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
<br>

clean up your rotor housings and some parts of your engine cuz theyre gross.

And your done.

After wideband...it turns out my turbo wont stay at 12 Psi. This sucks because I used to have an overboosting problem before. I figured that if it over boost to 12 psi, lets leave it at 12...and after a big yellow spring (.9bar) boost drops around 6500 rpms back to 8 Psi.

WTF!?

So for the time being (till I get more money)...im just gonna have to rock it like this. Next thing is FMIC & aluminum tubing. After that, Ill be building a exhaust manifold and downpipe for a 60-1.

Oh and listen to some music while you do this...Im not sure what itll be like with out it but im sure its gotta suck.

Im out!
