The little things... (Just a few small questions)

K... took the car out for a drive today to get some gas, awesome... only going to 4k but it's strong even down there... =)

But so there's a few small problems... I've highlighted the MAIN point of each question... so it's easier to skim. =)

a) I think I forgot to tighten the speedometer cable (DOH). But would anything ELSE cause the speedometer to go ALLL the way to 160+ and peg out near the 0 mark when I'm driving at anywhere above about 3.5k in 1st gear? Seems like the fact I'm moving is registering, just improperly... I'm just asking in case tightening the speedo cable doesn't fix things.

b) The hood latch WILL NOT CLOSE PROPERLY! =( I put the hood down, seems to go down all the way, but doesn't latch closed. I took the hood latch OFF and swapped it from another car, so I'm thinking I probably put something together wrong... but I also took this hood from the other car (the one that goes on this car got dented badly... I'm really pissed at my dad for that crap... so now I have a red hood on my black car). So any experience with the hood not latching properly, I'd love to hear it... might help.

c) The window seals weren't what they should have been, I "borrowed" the nice ones frorm my parts car, but it seems in all the recent rain water SOAKED the carpet under the passenger side seat. I didn't even notice it until I was going to put the ECU cover in and noticed the foam was all wet. What's the best way to get that dried out?

d) I need to swap the glass hatches from the two cars and I noticed there's a wire on each side of the hatch... does this mean I have to remove the roof lining?! =(

e) I guess I shouldn't complain much about removing the roof lining considering this question... I need to swap the sunroof motor from the two cars but where is the manual opening nut or whatever? They're both closed, I assume I'll need to open them to swap them right? Can I do it without removing the sunroof panels themselves? Any tips in general on doing it? Usual screw ups, etc.

f) How many of these question do you think will actually get answered?

-I've had broken speedometer cables and working ones and ones that were on the verge of poping out and poped out (install yours WITH the clips before doing donuts ) so i'm not sure if it is the speedo cable, but even then tighten it from both sides and check it again.

-After i put my hood on i had no problems, can't help you here

-Soak most of it up with a towel then maybe blow dry it?

-Yeah you do, i've done this before and i still haven't taken out the lining i just cut the stock cord (your talking about the connections from the hatch shocks right?) and let my other ones dangle, i'll get to it so me time.

-I sold my sunroof motor and old fc before i could do the swap, can't help you there.

u have to adjust the hood latch. just lossen the bolts so the latch can move around. then find the right spot...might take a while
