little body work gone wrong!!!!

Well today I finally got around to installing my new clutch master and slave. After a test drive I pulled into the garage and looked at my ****. There has been a lot of little problems that I haven't had time to fix...hood scoop broke, wing cracked, paint chipping. So I decided to use some of my pto and use the day to fix up the rx. First thing was the wing. Some binding and satin black paint to contrast my white car. That all went smoothly. Then I went to pull of the wing to repair some cracks where the middle two mounts attach to the car. The nuts were pretty rusted so I hit them with screw loose and let it soak for about an hour. When I tried to remove the bolt it cracked the mounts and twisted the legs of the wing clean off!!! I then had to remove the rest of the wing and bondo the. holes shut. I really dislike the look of a wingless fc., it just seems like the rear end stops too quick. I guess this goes to show what happens when u work on 20+ yr. Old cars. Im guna try and replace it soon hopefully with a gt wing of some brand (ya I know my rice side is showing) but some of the gt. Wings look imo really good on the fc. Any one got a favourite thats below a 1000$$?

You could always just repair your wing with a grinder and plastic epoxy. Aaron cake did sommething similar in his last project thread to a pair of side view mirrors and they came out looking brand new. Just something to consider. Also the cost would be under $20 for this fix vs a grand for a gt ****. Or you could get another stock wing for like $100. Just saying... there are more options

I was planning on fixing it but I went in to eat and my father who had decided to "help" decided that since it was already broke why not cut the ends off. He figured it be easir to work on I guess( gota give him a break he has brain cancer) and literary 5 mins after he set it out on the curb some lady crammed it into the back of her car. Plus ive need wanting to do something different for awhile and saw this as a reason to start some serious body mods for winter.

a replacement used wing is about $50-75. i know i got a couple but shipping cost is gonna hurt so i'd look for something local.

why spend a chunk of money for a gaudy wing, on a street car, that has a low KBB value?
