List 'OK' coilovers that give decent handling

I'm on a low budget, and I want my car to handle nice around turns; and I was told a set of coil overs will keep my car more stiff. Any ideas?

is this car for daily or track? If its for mostly street, i have the racing beat springs on tokico blues and sway bars on mine and they are great! its stiff and corners great with hardly any roll, and still comfortable to drive around town. for coilovers i would probably have to say, don't go cheap, its not worth the money. If your going to get coilovers spend the money and get a good set.

Don't confuse "stiff" with "handle nice".

Before you go crazy, make sure your shocks and springs are in good shape.
Jmabo's combination is very popular and should be fine for a street car.
The make sure all your suspension bushings are in good shape.

Finally, tires...they can make a world of difference.

Even race cars want the softest, most compliant ride possible...it's just that they operate at sustained speeds a street car can only dream of and do so on a groomed surface (usually) that doesn't compare to your average street.
Your average race car is almost undriveable on a typical road.

Biasing your car to "work well" on the one or two high(er) speed corners you may see daily will render it unsuitable for the majority of your driving.

Yes tires! i forgot about that, just like clokker said, tires make a huge difference. I'm running on 225 fronts, and 245 rears, so that plays a lot in the cornering and feel of it
