Liscence Plate Lights Not Working

All my exterior lights work fine, but these work sometimes, and other times dont. I failed inspection because of them though because I didn't get lucky and have them working that time. I rewired the part right by the actual bulb with no success, but I guess its just not getting power, Where do these wires actually lead?

Mine work intermittently as well dependent on how warm or cold it is outside. Weird.

The wires run from the headlight switch to the drivers kick panel, and from there back to all the parking lights in the rear.

So it is doubtful that your other rear parking lights are working, if the plates lights are out, if the bulbs and sockets are good.

So, can you confirm the red non brake rear and side lights are lit when the headlight switch is in the first On position?
