Line from charcoal canister to fuel tank damaged near tank.
I did another once over before putting the car back on the ground Saturday and noticed that there was a large scrape on my undercoating that terminated at the return line from the charcoal canister to the fuel tank. I must've kicked something up and it tore a chunk out of that line. Thankfully the supply line is still fully intact and I checked it up and doen for any weakness or damage and it's good.
I haven't noticed any gas fumes and there hasn't been any loss of fuel from that line (I'm pretty sure it's just supposed to feed fumes and pressure back to the tank) so I'm not too worried about it ATM but it's definatly something I'd like to fix soon. Since the pipe itself isn't too corroded and just got torn up by a foreign object I've considered cutting it so the edges are clean then filling the gap with a piece of fuel line. It would be alot easier then screwing with pulling the line out and trying to find another.
Does this sound like a huge deal? With a section missing am I going to damage something or cause other problems? I'd really like to drive the car this weekend and don't know if I'll have time between trips to jack it up and fix that line (it will probably be a more complicated process then I'm thinking... always is lol.)
