the screw kinda deals broke on mine, personall I think it looks alright if you cut the inside of the bumper off where they sit so you don't see the plastic thats suppose to be there. But they are best just left in, even if they are held in by wire

I like the looks to them but don't like their lack of functionality.

So I did this:

Mine are 55w driving lights (Some sort of Hella made for APC somethingorothers) and so far no problems with overheating the lenses. My GF hates them because when I follow her Focus I blind her.

how are they at night? I plan on installing them at angles (so I can shine some light on the road that my headlights miss)

- to clean: use some 1500 or 2000 grit sandpaper, and wet sand them. then use polishing compound to get it clear

- just plain not having them there or making them into "intakes": will do almost nothing for an aftermarket intake and may actually decrease the airflow through your radiator due to the pressure in the engine bay being changed

- putting lights in them: PLEASE aim those things properly and note that you must use auxilary-type lights since they are in a lower position than the headlights but higher than foglights. aftermarket driving lights typically do not have the adjustability needed.
using the stock lights such as what Aaron Cake has done is fine since your headlights will stay in a properly aimed, but lower, position.

They are meant to be used intermittently and not on all the time.
The lighting is very POOR trying to shoot the headlights through them.
I know this cause I was doing this for a while when one of my actuator arms broke. :P

^That black TII is exactly what I want my car to look like when I'm done^

Anyways... Mine are broke and really yellowed so I took them out. The yellowed FTP lenses look like crap on my black S5.

Sorry, bro- looks way too much like a 240 for my taste.

That being said, that is some slick bodywork

^^ you gonna roll them in zig zags?

I personally like them, but I wish they sat more flush with the bumper.

FTP Lenses

When I puchased my 87 base they were all fogged up. When I replaced my front bumper with the Corksport type II front bumper I had to use 89-91 turn signal lenses which looked really good. While I was doing this I just purchased two new FTP lenses, as well as the D-Speed clear sidemarker lenses.

Overall I am pleased with the look of the lenses.

PS: I think painted FTP lenses would look like ***, I mean different......LMAO

Thanx

Michael
