Lightweight flywheel

Hi, I have been into first gens for a while and i'm getting ready to buy an auto 2nd gen and do a manual swap. I found a fairly cheap lightweight turbo flywheel and I was wondering if I could use it with my N/A motor and tranny by using a N/A clutch disc and turbo pressure plate? I know they are different outer diameters, but are their inner diameters the same? I would like to go to a Turbo drivetrain later on down the road I just don't have the money right now and I thought if I could use the turbo flywheel now it might save me some money, anyways just wondering if it would work thanks.

Nope.

Trans, clutch and flywheel all have to match. You either go na for all or turbo for all.

Well, let's take a look at this.
NO.
You can't put the TII flywheel on.#1:if you don't have a Counterweight(s4)
#2.If you are going to be using the N/A transmission,because..
#3: the N/A starter will not mesh with the flywheel correctly Because..#4: the Transmission will put the starter in a Different Place.
the TII trans, starter, flywheel, clutch and pressure plate.also the TII clutch Slave cylinder needs to be used,as the N/A slave won't mount up correctly and does not have enough throw to engage the Clutch Effectively..(.all that just for that Flywheel to go on).
Now,if you get all that on,you will need a conversion shaft to go From TII to an N/a Differential..OR complete the Drivetrain and put On the TII driveshaft, differential, and Half Shafts.
Good luck.

Everything he said, except being that he has an auto, it will already have the appropriate counterweight. Otherwise, you need all that stuff.

Negative dude.. You haven't seen the differences, but now I can actually say that I have. The N/A transmission input shaft can literally spin freely inside the TII clutch disk. If you're going to get TII stuff, you have to get the TII: flywheel, pp, clutch, starter, pilot & throwout bearings, driveshaft, slave cylinder, and either: have someone custom make you a driveshaft to bolt to the differential, have someone make you a custom adapter plate to bolt the TII driveshaft to the N/A diff, buy a mazdatrix custom driveshaft, or get the TII differential and axles.

Whoo! So much easier to buy the N/A flywheel, or go get a manual TII donor car... but that's nearly impossible these days.
