lighting problem

i have a big problem with the wiring on my lighting...

1st: my illum fuse (15a) keeps blowing, causing me not to have any tail lights, gauge lights, and city lights... and now i can't put any fuse in there with out it blowing as soon as the fuse touches the socket. i think there is either a short somewhere or a ground problem...

2nd: now, my blinkers do not work at all, it's not the bulb or the fuse (15a), both are good... also i have no front blinkers so when my blinkers did work, they were like the ricer blinkers (all fast)... but i don't think that was the reason for my blinkers to quit; i think it has something to do with the wiring...

all this i think there is a problem in between the fuse box and my headlight switch or blinker switch...

also before my blinkers quit, sometimes the right blinker would stay on, and when i clicked it over to the right, then my clock would blink instead of the light (which just stayed on); this happened off and on for a bit...

can someone help me out or give me some kind of advice... thanks

right now i'm going thru the electrical schematics with a multimeter to find any shorts or breaks in the wires..

Most likely your headlight switch is dead/dying. REAL common problem. The harness going to it will probably have a burned wire as well - pull the instrument cluster surround and have a look.

The turn signals go through the CPU I believe - might be a CPU-related problem. Fix the headlight switch first.

would the headlight switch being bad blow fuses?
i had the lighting problem before, but then it was just a blown fuse, so i replaced it... problem fixed...

but now, i can't even place a fuse in the socket before i glows and blows... even a higher amp fuse..

There's probably a broken wire somewhere. Check the wiring diagrams in the FSM for the appropriate wiring harnesses to narrow down which wire.

you may just be out of turn signal fluid.. or you accidently put the right turn signal fluid into the left side, and vice versa

on a serious note, DCFC4S is correct about the REALly common problem with the turn signals, and if one of the wires burnt/melted through the harness (common problem), it could be shorting out on you, causing your fuse to go pop.
