Lighting idea...what do you think?

I got into an accident awhile ago with my 7, and it smashed up the stock pop-ups. I had been wanting to fit flush-fitting lights for awhile, so I figured that I would get some to replace the stockers.

However, there isn't anything good on the market in my price range (appx 500 or less). DLtreezan isn't producing them right now according to his most recent post, and I have heard way too many bad things about CP Racing to give them my money. If anyone has any other suggestions let me know.

So, I was thinking that I could use my limited composites working ability to make up some tubs to mount lights in. I think it might look really cool to retain the stock headlight covers (minus all the pop-up parts underneath) and enlarge the FTP port opening to fit some lights and fiberglass peices into....and then add a lexan cover. This might look really nce or really dumb....but in any case it should be fairly easy and give enough space for some nice lights

What do you think? Stupid idea?

or camaro

I'm not a fan. I thought it looked cool at one point but I don't like the camaro look. I have some cool ideas but those are to be kept secret until the unveiling.

If you do that, then go get some five star rims, and a Jean jacket, and crank out some Flock of sea gulls. Because it's a little too 80's for me.

Could you possibly buy a set for the fd like the ones below, and mold them to the frame of a fc headlight cover? Seems like it would work and would end up costing less than $200.

Those are the DLTreezan lights. I like them, but according to his most recent post he decided to take a break....and when I emailed him I didn't get any response.

The FD lights are an interesting idea, but it would be alot like the eastbear kit and I'm not a fan of it.

Yeah...after seeing those pics I am definitely not wanting to try this. I was thinking of something a bit different...but yuck.

Any other suggestions besides CP racing?
