Legal Emmissions!!!

Hi Guys,

I just bought a 89 GTU with racing beat exhaust and a apexi cool air. The place where i bought it from didnt have to pass emissions so they put a pre-silencer on it..so its loud...but not smog legal. They chucked the stock exhaust so i dont even have that to fall back on. Is there other ways to make sure my car will pass emissions? It still has rats nest and air pump.

OK to pass here in WA (only 3 counties check) I got a bonez high flow. Called RB and got the flanges for my setup (full turbo back) then I took it to the muffler shop and told them I would like it to fit into the exact spot as the presilencer. Took them about 75 mins or so to do it. Then just hook up the split air and you should be good. I BLEW AWAY the test with this set up on. I took it off and have it stored right now as we only test every other year. The beauty is that this should work on my soon-to-be-ariving turbo vert with the same exhaust.

Note this is not alll that cheap, but you will be in complience and it shouldn't make too much difference in performance, while its on.
