leading spark plugs

leading spark plugs

im new to the forum. just got an 87 base with 54k orig miles about to months ago. jsut got some money to start fixing small engine problems. got ngk spark plugs. i got the trailing plugs on. now i cant get my SP socket to the leading. any easy tips to get around it. im thinking of moving the battery or taking out the clutch MS. kidding. but seriously im getting way frustrated, oh and ive tried under the car.

Take the trailing plugs out and then take the leading out should be easier to do that way, i can see it being hard to get them out with the trailing plugs in

i tried that too. there are too many hoses in the way. maybe im just being retarded. i will try it again in the morning. thanks for the help

are you using a spark plug socket? try using an extention on your ratchet, they will come out it just takes some time....

ya 5/8 i believe. i did for the trailing. ill make a post when i get it. i also did it at night. so maybe i was being normally retarded.

do it in the day light so you can see really well, dont give up on it tho!!! Also helps too if i remember right to take the socket off the ratchet and put it on the plug then connect your ratchet back up to the socket...

They're not EASY to get to, but it's not particually difficult. Just kinda shove your hand down in there then hand yourself the ratchet.
