Leading Spark

Here is my issue i cant get spark at my leading coil. I have spark at my trailing and none at my leading. It all started when i melted my airflow meter loom on my exhaust. So My leading spark wont spark now. I have replaced the loom, tried a Different CAS, Multiple different coils and new leads, spark plugs but nothing.

Car is a 1987 RX7 With S5 running motor and loom etc

also melted the OMP loom which i havent replaced as of yet! Does limp mode cut spark consistantly???

So it's a S4 vehicle, with a S5 block using a S5 EM harness... which ECU? Did someone just repin the wires at the ECU, did they cut/solder things on to make it work with the S4 front harness? Some of this will help with diagnosing.

Check your leading coil for +12V at the B/Y wire, the other wire is G/Y and goes all the way back to the ECU (through the front harness). I can't help you with this one until I know what ECU/how it's wired/what else was changed.

Sorry for the late reply been away for a few weeks.

ECU is a N374 it has been cut a bit... there is the two yellow plugs that go into the ecu from the front loom(there is the other ones from the rest of the loom) and the one that seems to go to nothing(same as my previous loom). however there is some wires that are cut out of this plug(big yellow one that doesent go to the ecu)and wired into another custom plug(I copyed this from the other loom).

Symptoms are, wont accelerate with anything more than super lite throttle, splutters and spits(guessing this is fuel flooding the trailing plugs). if i hold light throttle i can rev the engine as far as it can just does the fore-mentioned when it is given instantaneous throttle. bloody pissing me off i just want to boost and plus have dyno run booked for next month.

Ive changed coil, cas, plugs, leads, there is voltage i just dont have a voltmeter to check this atm. what will having low volts mean?

Thanks for everything people

The function of each and every pin on the ECU is given in the FUEL AND EMISSIONS section of the online FSM. It also shows the input/output value of each pin of each plug of the ECU.

Each of those wires can be traced FROM the ECU TO the end point in the wiring diagrams. The wiring diagrams in turn show each and every plug inbetween point to point.

The wiring diagrams show the shape of each elect plug and the number of pins in each plug along with the color of each wire or every plug in the car.
