Laugh at me, Because I am laughing at me

So I have been waiting to get my car and go **** around and have some fun with it, well I get my car, and since its been a loooong *** time since I have driven a 5 speed I have a friend bring it back to my house where I can try to go from there, well, I get in my car, I move the seat back, uh-oh, it doesnt go any further, Im about 6"3 maybe a hair taller but the 88 Mazda RX-7 Turbo 2 Was not designed for me to fit comfortably and operate safely with a clutch at the same time, so I try to move my steering wheel up, No progress, so I have my car, and I cant even drive it because my knees hit my steering column and I have to drive bow-legged if I do go anywhere its a complete mess so I am going to either move my seat mounts back so I have more room, or pickup some racing seats and a smaller steering wheel........

Not good, 13 days of delay to get it and I cant even drive it comfortably.....

WHY GOD!!!!

I curse you japanese!!!

Buy a S5. The seats are lower and farther back. Or you could just buy a set of S5 coupe seats.

Yeah, I'm 6'2" and I fit my S5 just fine. You may want to look into that.

They might not be going back all the way.......But They Just wont go any further, so I might have to take them apart, they go to the 2nd setting after the closest to the wheel...and thats it, I thought they should go back further...

Don't know about S4's, but mine goes all the way back until it hits the back seat (2+2s suck btw).

Hah, they should go back further then that, my seat goes about 3-4" away from it, then i can lean my seat back against it and I fit fine.

I just put my vert seats into my 90 GTU because the cloth seats had a huge tear in the side, and it kept getting worse. With the vert seats(same dimensionally as S4), I sit higher and farther forward by about an inch each way. And its not the rails, because Im using the rails from my GTU(vert ones were rusted). Im only 6 ft, and headroom/legroom was never a problem before, but now with these seats my head is very close to the headliner, and I could really use that extra inch of legroom...

your seats should go back WAY further than that, your adjuster must be screwy. Mine will go back to within.. maybe 3" of the storage bins? I dunno. With mine all the way back though, I can hardly reach the pedals, I'm 6'1" but have LONG legs...

I ride with my seat back resting against the storage bins (6' 1") so I think you may want to pull the seat and check out those adjuster brackets... might as well fix them before the new seats come...

STEP ONE: INSTALL REAR SEATS.
STEP TWO: REMOVE FRONT DRIVERS SEAT.
STEP THREE: SIT IN REAR SEAT.
STEP FOUR: TURN CAR ON.
STEP FIVE: DRIVE AWAY.

problem solved.
