Last hope before I have to take it in...
Hey guys,
My driver's side power window has not been working for awhile now, but my passenger side was working fine up until today... I put it down for a bit while crusing around, it went back up fine... parked it and that was that.. a few hours later I went back out and the window would not go down...
When I pull on the switch to make either (driver or passenger) windows go up there is a slight drop in amps and revs... when I push on the switch to make either window go down.. there is no change in amps or revs....
I am thinking that either both switches are now busted when you try to lower the window.. or there is something wrong with the tracks or something is stoping the window from going down. I also think that the motor MUST still be working otherwise why would there be a drain in amps when I pull the switch to make the windows go up?
Ahhhg! it has been a long day, if I am not making any sence and should just go get the motor's everything looked at and fixed just tell me now...
thanks so much,
Chris

Could it be possible that when you hit the switch it is creating a short? Does it sound like the windows are trying to move?
Some people have had to take out the switch and clean off the contacts. Maybe that could help.

on our S4 cars power windows switches are related each to other...
when your passenger switch is broken, u will not be able to close/open window from drivers side
when your drivers switch does not work (its passenger related part), your passenger switch would not work...
