well add another $300 for camber/caster plates the $2000 he's talking about is probably a "real" coil over kit. like the shock tec one dave gibson just bought. $2000 just for shocks and springs.

$2300.00 should get you all 4 corners and a new front sway bar. Most road race guys dont use the rear bar.

If you want Tein's, check out the HE series. Very beefy units. They are marketed for drifting in mind. Right now the whole set should be less than $1,400. The yen/dollar exchange rate has been very favorable for us in America lately.

sweet, just talked to paul at k2rd, the pics aren't up yet but he gave me the links.

www.k2rd.com/coilovers

and the pricing and info is on the site, but it took me a few mins to find it even after he told me... kinda hidden

http://www.k2rd.com/Online_Catalog/F...sion-index.htm

seems like good pricing to me, don't know how they will compare to the GC's

I was not quoting exact figures as the place you buy from and sales tax will have an impact on cost depending if you mail order or buy retail from a local store. I was figuring using Tokico illuminas shocks and springs with that ballpark figure though.

Heh, I got my whole car for $1200, does that count? It has ST sway bars and springs, and Tokico non-adj shocks. Pretty damn stiff, much more so than my stock 951. Not as stiff as most on this thread, though, I'm sure.

How are the Eibach Prokit with the AGX? I was a bit surprised they werent mentioned. They seem really popular on other cars. Are they bad or something with FCs?

No, I haven't as of yet. Looks like I won't have them for the 20th. I have some buddies back in Japan keeping an eye out for a full coilover setup. At least while the exchange rate is decent. If they don't come through soon, I think I'll have to go with a DIY coilover kit. Can't wait to see your FC. Happy New Year!

Hello? Is this thing on? Are you guys even looking at Evil Aviator's posts?

1700 bucks for a full coilover set, Koni shocks, swaybars and camber caster plates, plus the rear camber link!

That's a steal. And I've already installed one in my racer.

Hello! Happy New Year! I thought this thread was about shocks? Not the whole kit and kaboodle. 1700 is a good deal for all that though, I guess I am going to try one set of AGX's's and one set of Illuminas. Steve- are you coming out on the 20th? I probably wont be ready till BSCC starts to run again. What is the exchange rate? DIY coilovers? RLee

I'll be there. Check out the NW Section. Come on out even if you don't run. It'll probably be a good time in spite of the rain. I love watching some of the Subaru guys get a quick lesson in physics when they spin out because they think 4WD can overcome bad driving. Driving in the rain = fun, corner working in the rain = no fun. I put a thread about the Bremerton AutoX on there. When I say DIY coilovers, I mean normal shocks with the Ground Control spring/threaded shock sleeve kit. Last time I checked the exchange rate is just over 131yen to the dollar. That's pretty good. It hasn't been that high in ages (of course I haven't been either but that's another story ).
