i just installed the KYB AGX on my 87 GXL. I have them all one setting under the stiffest. they ride very nicely. makes it actually feel like a sports car. Overall, i am very pleased. They fit right in. no mods needed

I have the KYB AGX for 4 years now and I have put over 100,000 kms on them and they still work great.

The adjustment ***** on the rear shocks have completely seized 2 years ago because I just "set it and forget it".
I don't park it in the winter either and that's probably why the ***** rusted in place.

Other than that they are very good shocks.

I have the fronts set at 2 of 4, and the rears at 4 of 8.

And, YES, they do fit on stock springs.

I've got KYB AGX wrapped in RB springs. I love the fact I can turn them down to the softest setting for say the trip to Vermont I took...but when it's autocross time, I can dial in what I need. I haven't had any issues with them, and it's been a few thousand miles now and they still feel the same. Never tried the other brands..

running agxs on eibachs for about 800 miles so far. Great, fit right in, and it pretty easy to adjust the stiffness. im running 3/4 in the front at 6/8 in the rear.

KYB= Keep You Bouncing, I dont like them anyway... Get the Tokico setup, or for a few hundred more get the k-sport coil over setup. Just my thoughts.

actually think they are both pretty good. i did OWN a pair of illuminas, never installed tho, but i have riden in cars with both and i like the ride of the illuminas more (however i dont know what settings they were own), but i have heard complaints of illuminas blowing more often than kyb's. either way, i have koni adjustables all the way around on my 94 mx-5 R and they are awesom on that.

Funny. I just blew out one of my illumina shocks. Weird thing is, i did it while lowering the car onto the ground. something/somehow must of got caught and when the car was on the ground i heard a loud pop and a loss of compression. :\ oh well.

Anybody selling a spare illumina for the rear?
