keeps cranking and has hard time turning over.

keeps cranking and has hard time turning over.

Ok so I had my motor rebuilt and streetported about 2 months ago. And for the past week or so when my car has been sittting overnight I go to start it in the morning it just keeps on cranking untill the battery dies. Then I get my other car to jump it and its fine. I replaced the battery about 6 weeks ago with an interstate bettery. I thought maybe it was a bad ground so I added a new one. Still nothing. When It starts up I get a puff of smoke that smells like fuel really bad. Once its warmed up Its fine. I can turn it off and it starts up just fine. I really don't know what's going on. Please help. Thank you

I'm using castrol gtx 20w50 and 91 octane. It also idles kinda funny also, like it will stay at 1500 then drop to about 600-500 and sometimes stall out. I have the idle screw alll the way out and it helps a little but idk

TPS calibration should be the first thing you do if you move the throttle stop , and may be contributing to your issue
i also suspect you have a leakdown issue with fuel and you need to get a guage on there and see how long it holds fuel pressure after turn off .. suspect leaky injector
if so, pressure will drop to zero immediately,, normal is to drop back to about 25 psi for 30 mins to an hour and it usually passes back through the pump to tank
