kawasaki ninja, ?j-spec motor? where to get complete motor?
Im thinking of pickin up this early 90's ninja from a friend for like 100 bucks with a bad motor and maybe gear box, where can i find a complete motor, similar to a j-spec as in out cars. or a place that just sells them, I know how to rebuild the motors, it would be nice to have something i know is running before i take it apart, i think it like a 600cc, im just getting into this street bike world from dirtbikes so help me out! thanks alot

Most of the time it is just cheaper to rebuild the motor instead of buying one. I have never really head of importing motors from Japan. I would look at ebay, or try and find a ZX600 fourm.
By the way thats a good bike for a first timer. Where in WA are you?

Ebay. Since the gear box and motor are bad it’s a good thing they are one unit. It should be <$1000 for a complete bolt in motor, tranny, maybe carbs.
There are probably local salvage yards. You should be able to find a wheelie that went wrong on a 4000 mile bike. I would not bother rebuilding a running motor.

Its an '89 750cc ninja, and its basicly a short block, and they want 200 bucks for it, they said, it turns over, but they dont know if it runs, if it turns over what are the chances of it running?
