Just want to say Thanks

I just wanted everyone to know how much appreciate all of the hep that I've received on this forum. I posted in this section as this is where I've asked majority of my questions.

Recently I've tried to utilize some F150, and VW forums for help in trouble shooting and some "basic" knowledge questions about the various vechicles I've had to tool on. Needless to say, but I haven't found them helpful at all.

Those communities are nothing like the one's that I've found on the rotary forum site(s), and I wanted everyone to know I'm grateful for all of the help and knowledge that is so freely shared here.

^Couldn't agree more

This forum has helped me learn basically everything that I know about rotaries, and provided me with all the info and support that I needed to make my car what it is today.
I couldn't tell you how many times the tech section helped guide me through one of my projects, or just kept me from doing somethin' stupid.

In comparison to other forums, it seems rx7club has far more PRODUCTIVE info.
No noob-flaming... No bullshit or worthless posts... Just good people giving honest advice and direction.
Can't ask for more than that.

Thanks, to all the members and moderators out there. Keep it up guys.
ROTARY PRIDE.

Well, you have to understand that the wankel rotary is a whole different beast mechanically and electronically.

Most of us, took the time to learn the ins and outs of how all of it works in detail, plus some experience.

It is like talking to an extreme football fan about his particular team he favors. He knows the insides and outs.

And, you are welcome if I ever helped you.

Yeah.. There are a ton of questions that are repeatedly asked, and flaming and such.

But it's gotten a TON better over the years.

I'll agree, but for the most part it is sane around here.

Most of the flaming and douchery is because someone either acts like a fool or doesn't have any clue as to what they are doing. I have found that, generally, questions asked that have not been rehashed 1000 times or even idiotic ones are usually answered in a civil manner.

I was on that forum for like 2 weeks, when the cars first came out we bought one, could not stand it.

most new car forums are ******* useless. "washed and waxed today pics inside", like wow man you washed and waxed a 6 month old car it looks great

or "i just put led bulbs in my glovebox check it out"

"my shift pedal has a squeek to it, anyone else's squeek? How can so-and-so put out a car with a squeeky pedal

I have to jump in on this one and agree. It's excellent around here-- it's a whole different thing when you're a car girl too. There's a lot of bullshit for that alone and in general, this forum is much more welcoming than any other that I've joined.

As long as I avoid the lounge...

Its just plain different on rotary forums. you don't have the 18yr old kids who just had daddy buy them a new audi a4 or 370z.
great, your car is faster than mine. But it doesnt mean much coming from a someone who's too scared to turn a bolt or change their air filter cuz it might void their warranty. Let alone ever see the bottom end of the motor. Some people just need to get off their high horse.

It all comes down to how committed/passionate you are.

Yes, you guys and girls are a unique bunch!! I haven't had to ask a technical question yet. The search function works quit well. I am sure one day soon I will have to ask something, and I'm sure, you will all be very kind to me!!!

I like how cars can bring out the best in people. It's really odd when you think about it...are there weekend meets to discuss home improvement? Cutting the grass? Sleeping? Maybe but not like a car club get together.

I have learned a lot from this site and there are a lot of people who have experience who check on here regularly. And people with all sorts of backgrounds. It's one of the nicest car forums I have come across.

Funny you should mention that forum. I just spent some time searching through old posts there this week because I'm kind of considering getting a used Mazda6. I was surprised at how many questions there seem to be posted without any real replies.

This really is a superb forum for all its minor faults. I love it and have found it hugely helpful over the years.

without this forum the 7 might still be in the stone ages instead of cranking out 700+WHP. it is the shared knowledge and ideas that help move the cars and engines forward.

without going to the track it wouldn't be common knowledge to pin the motor or that you can mill your rotors for larger more sturdy seals, or how to modify your lubrication system, or that putting 2 stroke oil in your fuel is good versus bad, etc, etc, etc. trial and error sucks sometimes, believe me... i have done plenty in order to share my knowledge here in return.

some people may think that they would have found all of this out on their own but truth is they wouldn't even in a full lifetime. i know i wouldn't be doing what i do now without the aid of this forum and all the knowledge that is here. setting up tooling for iron lapping for example(not something that has much documentation anywhere) wouldn't have been possible for me without ideas i saw other places on the web.
