Castrol GTX 20-50 For dino oil.

Redline or Amsoil for synthetic.

I suggest running dino oil. But read up on synthetic and rotaries if you want to make the switch.

If you run premix, go with synthetic Mobile 1.

Otherwise, Castrol GTX 20-50.

ya i got the castrol gtx 10w-30 so ya. and i got the napa oil filter so i think it will be good. but when i did it i saw a lot of metal shavings in the oil pan and i think that is from the apex seals and rotor housings doesn't look to good tro me in search of a s5 na engine, myn is old anyway

If you didn't have your apex seals, things would be much worse. Might be old oil, a bad oil filter last time or some engine problem like you say. I agree with the 10w-30 Castrol GTX, btw. Royal Purple is great too.

Awesome...Another oil topic that contains the same stuff as the 9,378,439 oil topics that already exist. For future reference, a simple search for "oil recommendations" would have turned up the info immediately instead of waiting for someone to respond to the thread...

With that said, I buy whatever oil is on sale.
