just some questions

hi i joined this forum in an effort to learn about rx7's before i try to buy one.
i hear a lot about ppl ******* the reliability of them as everyday cars. what are some of the reliability issuse that some of u have run into and what are some common ones. now i must metion that i am a compulsive car buyer so this may turn out to be a half hearted thing but on the good side every car ive sought out ive ended up owning one(5 and counting) all information is is much appreciated.

oh and although i do not have any experiance with building a mazda im not scarred to get my hands and feet dirty so i was also wondering if it would be better to buy a roller and piece it together or buy a low priced one and fix it up from there???????

Buy a clean one with a bad engine, it'll be cheap and not hard to find. Then rebuild the engine or have a shop do it for you. Replace all the ware items and you have a reliable car that you know the history of..

At least, that's what I plan to do when I buy another FC.

dont try to be cheap i bought my 87 n/a for 600... i blew the motor, bought one with 40k mi for 600 with tranny bought rims for 700 with tires and eveything... and now i have to fix my sunspension and other then that i have no problems and its been my everyday driver for like a year... and just like alex-7 said buy one thats mint with a messed up engine and either rebuilt it or find an engine fora decent price and your good to go... but trust me once you buy one you wont regret it... just make sure you take care of your baby... and remeber the engine burns oil so make sure you always have your eye on the oil and coolant... as long as you treat it good it will treat you back
