Just realized something.

I bought my car like a year ago. I never worried about the OMP, but now that my friends' went out, it got me thinking. What happens if my OMP is disconnected. How do I tell? It wasn't mentioned when I bought the car.

Your MOP is electrical and there should be two white connectors near the alternator somewhere that feed the MOP. If it fails you will most likely get the CES light and your car will run like ****.

Yeah, well it seems to run really well. I just figured that the light could not be on because someone had bypassed it. I guess i'm just worrying about nothin

The ECU goes into limp mode, and the engine's output is severely restricted. If the engine runs fine, then the OMP is fine.
