just a quick question about clutch sets.
so i am in the process of doing an auto to manual trans swap on my girlfriends fc. im ready to purchase a clutch set for it. while searching the various parts house websites and checking prices i noticed the clutch set for a vert is significantly cheaper.
is there any difference between a vert clutch set and a coupe?

A stock replacement clutch from someone like Valeo or Exedy would be a great option for her. The oem replacement pressure plates provide a light clutch pedal and plenty of feel and miles of modulation. To a lot of us however , oem clutches are a bit too *light and airy*.
If you look back in my post history you'll find a thread titled "fuel pressure?". Find It and read it all. Its from back when I did my manual conversion and not all of the write ups available will go as in depth as hailers and I did to get the wiring for the swap just right.
The 3.9 rear is pretty awful. It doesn't ruin drivability, but it certainly does not help.
Be absolutely certain that your crossmember adapter/bridge does not allow for lateral tailshaft movement.
Depending on the wear and amount of miles on the motor, just prepare yourself for the eventuality that you might end up with some odd and awkward problems with the engine running *perfectly*.. but I'm also ****, sooo...
