just a quick question

i am going to need a engin stand right away.

I think i remember reading a bit ago that u cant use any old stand. you need a certain one so that it will bolt up to the rotary engin.

is this true at all? or should i just go get any stand

i have never tried my self, but mazdatrix sells an engine stand adapter so i would imagine you need to make one yourself or buy one from them to use on a standard stand.

check out this link http://www.mazdatrix.com/toolmisc.htm

I have one like mazdatrix that i made. I made one for myself and figured I'd make a few while I was at it, just incase anybody needed one for a better price. PM me if you want one.

I have a regular stand. I took the little adapter arms off and when you set the front end plate next to the engine stand, you will be able to get enough nuts and bolts lined up to hold the motor. Its more convenient with a rotary engine adapter, but not absolutely necessary.

There are many ways. I just welded topieces of 4X1/2 X 10 angle back to back to form the bracket. I then welded a piece of tube 2 3/8 OD by 14". I then bought a 1000 lb capacity engine stand from Harbor Freight. Looks like **** but works great. As a matter of fact a 13B is sitting on it right now in the garage.
