Just installed new motor! sluggish response and low idle please help!

I just bought a stage 2 rx7world rebuilt motor my mechanic put everything together and the car seems to be getting to much fuel i have brand new fuel injectors. It seems to not start until you pinch the fuel line to the motor, but once it's warm it is okay and it will start. Then once started the car seems to be a bit sluggish and the idle is a little off please help! timing is okay but any ideas will help thanks

How many miles do you have on it? Maybe you just need to break it in a little bit.

I'd check the timing as well.

Thanks Guys

I have an 86 RX7 it started the 1st time today it has 0 miles on it i took it out and it ran alittle sluggish and rpm's were fine at idle but then when you shifted into drive it would go down below 500. The car had been sitiing for a year prior to the motor install so it could be the tranny needs flushing. I put the car in park and reved it up to about 4k and the motor and the car sounded great. Is it normal for it to be a little sluggish during break in it has no response time. Thanks guys

sorry sorry but i forgot it was idling really well with the cruise control hooked up and it seemed like when i let off the gas the car would feel like it was still giving gas. when i got to the shop we unhooked the cruise control and it would not idle at all the cruise control was holding the idle up.
