Just how light can you get an NA?
Alright, I'm planning on completely stripping my 87NA, pulling the dash, removing everything behind it, no carpet, no passanger seat, no door panels/no radio/etc. Anybody have any idea how light you can get them down to? I've not had much luck finding anyone stripping it so completely who posted how much it weighed afterwards!

Is that a guess, or you got some proof?
I was hoping to get it down around 2,200lbs or so, less would be better
I'm pretty much hoping to strip everything from behind the dash (heater core/ac/etc), then put the dash back in and put some carpet down so it looks streetable still, might just rip all that out. Gut the doors/etc, swap to a manual steering rack, no sunroof, so I'm good there. Just wondering how low I can get it (that's actually been weighed) The few threads I did find that had them weighed all came out around 2400 or so.

If you check out mazdatrix's E/P vert race car they got it down to 2050, but that was with a BUNCH of stuff out (even a bunch of motor pieces). The lightest they got it was 1740lbs, but that was just a rolling chassis.
Those scales cost money to run and if they're state opperated they might not let you go through. However, you might be able to sweet talk someone at a truck stop to let you roll over their scale for free if you don't want the F/R printout of your axle weights. I've always used gravel scales free.
