Just got an S4 :D

i just came home after picking up my uncles 87 rx-7 (n/a sadly), im planning on restoring it, it has a few dents, paint fading, and interior is pretty shitty, but no rust and engine and tranny is still going strong after 129k miles

this is my first project car (i still have my 99 altima to drive), im planning to restore it, then going to a 13b-re or a turbo 2 swap if i can find junkyard that has the spare parts, right now i dont think it will take more than 2k to restore the entire car, im even going to try to strip/bondo/paint the car with my dad to make it look like it just came out the factory

by no means am i an experienced mechanic, i have worked on a couple cars so hopefully this will go well

ill take pics of it when i get back from school

ps. i just have 1 problem though, about 10% of the time when i fully disengage the clutch (press it completely to the floor) sometime i jams and gets stuck on the bottom and i have to pull it back up, do any of you know whats the problem? i typed this without searching, which im going ot do right now....

there is a clutch release cylinder that helps the clutch well release. That could be in need of service.

you might be in need of a new clutch soon my saab did that for a while so i bought a new one and problem went a way. if you do buy a clutch go ahead and get a light flywheel its easier to put them both in at the same time.

BLEED THE BREAKS

or just drive your altima ill the cosmo or tII is in

close to the clutch master cylinder (i think is actaully a part of it) which should be opposite of your clutch pedal. Ie Flashlight and a lift or some contortion.

You goto fc3s.org they have to shop manual that should help you with the clutch problem. I'd recommend checking the master and slave cylinders for leaks and replace the fluid for the clutch.
