Kevin,
Try http://www.westmarine.com for the black 3M 5200. They have small tubes as well. Careful with that stuff. It seems to get everywhere.

So this morning the initial idle started out at 3k, but came down almost immediately to 1200... so I guess it doesn't always start out at 1200.
As far as temperature, yeah, I'm worried, but not too tremendously so. I went for the cheaper, higher miles option knowing that I might have to get an engine rebuild sooner or later (the saved difference being for that, repairs and mods). It just may be sooner rather than later, but I still believe there's some decent life left in it. Other than the temp problem, I believe it's running well.
I also noticed another slightly strange sound this morning, but haven't heard it enough to characterize it. Hmm.
Jon- Thanks for the ebay link for the boot. I'll watch that auction. Definitely we should hook up sometime and you can show me some examples of things I'm going to want to do.
Lars- Thanks for the West Marine link. There's one not too far away from me so I'll go grab the stuff soon.
I guess I'm kind of glad I got a black vert. I'd been looking and looking for a red one, but I gotta admit, it's growing on me.

Rebuilding Power window regulator
I just got done rebuilding my own power window reg for my convertible. Unfortunately didn't have the shop books but was able to remove and install the reg without removing the glass.
The regulator is the center slide with post and motor connected by two wire cables that pull up and down on the slide. It's pretty easy to remove the unit. Remove 8 nuts and slide the entire unit out.
My driver side cables were bad. That's the usual probem with the power windows over time. Unfortunately Mazda doesn't sell the cables. Luckily ordinary bike brake cables and housings are identical.
Spent about $30 on new cables instead of the $250-$380 for a new regulator unit.
Let me know if you'd like more details to rebuilding your reg. I just did it this weekend and it's not really that hard.
