Just Bought. Dimming Lights, and some other problems
I have just bought my 1987 rx7, its not a turbo, and i needed some help with my car. I picked it up from inspection today, and i had to have the exhuast put on ( i had a dual exhaust put on and i replaced the right caliper.) On the way home, at 8: 30 tonight, after about 10 minutes the lights started to dim, and from the start all the interior warning lights were on including the shift light, slowly the headlights and the rest of the lights started to dim and they all went off a few minutes later. I pulled over and the car seemed to want to stop and stall. I gave it 5 minutes and made it about a mile home as the lights were starting to dim again. Since im new to this i wanted to know if you could help. I read up on it and i think it could be the CPU or logicon, maybe the battery im not sure. If you could help me out i would appreciate it greatly.
-Thank you

Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
bad or disconnected alternator.
All the idiot lights on tells you the alternator has failed.
The CPU (body computer) has nothing to do with the car running, and the Logicon controls the climate controls, so it also would have nothing to do with the car running.
You have a bad or disconnected alt (and now also a bad battery if you drove the car after the idiot lights all came on until the car died).
