Just bought a 90 T II !! YEA!!

Just saw her sitting in a parking lot for sale.

!990 white turbo 2 , 113, xxx miles, paint and body are very good, nicely tinted windows, aftermarket alarm, interior is ok good alpine stereo. Leather has some stretch marks, exterior window seals are showing rust. Stock wheels tires are fair.

Now the good part--has the complete racing beat exhaust (not sure what size have not had a chance to measure) fuel cut defenser, turbo timer, aftermarket fuel pressure and boost gauge on the a-pillar, not sure what brand cone filter, NGK plug wires, also something that looks like a fuel pressure regulator, not really sure what it is.

Does have a pretty big vacuum leak, boost is only about 8 psi, and i think the vacuum leak is the reason and needs a tranny mount and a motor mount. ABS has been de-activated.

All this for $3000!

Only bad thing is that I can't get her until i get paid Friday! GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!! I am dying, like a little kid before christmas, it would take a 2x4 to wipe the grin off my face!

I'm planning to run 20w50 castrol GTX oil and a little pre mix too. Synthetic gear lube and a good LSD rear lube. Definately flush and fill the engine coolant and probably flush and fill the brake system too.

I figure it might be a good idea to get bigger injectors soon too. I'd like to make a custom TID also. What injectors do you guys think? I'm thinking stock primaries and 720cc secondaries.

This car will not be a daily driver, just a weekend and evening toy.

Just wanted to share the joy. Pics to come.

Congrats!

Have you put down a deposit yet? If not, seriously consider it.

You will need to get some sort of fuel control in there asap. It's going to be that or a new motor. 8# of boost could be due to the turbo being the one straight from hiroshima. Mounts are cheap. Another thing to consider is pulling off the OMP, hooking it up to a DC source and measuring its output.

Modded, Id never buy it. If the owner modded the car, he probably drove it hard. Thats something to think about. Another thing, Id never buy a car from a young kid, or parents if they have like a 16-18y/o son, he probably beat the **** out of it.

Your decision.

I ran a carfax on the car and it looks like it has had 3 owners. The mileage looks accurate, it was emission tested 10 times in miami and the document mileage, which is cool in this case. The last owner is a was a girl, she now has a 2002 lexus ls 300. I got a compression test also, but my scanner is broken, i can take a digital pic of it tomorrow, good even bumps on both rotors were 85 psi. I took it to Lowes performance in Sarasota, and they are RX-7 specialists and he said that is was a good buy.

Yeah definataly put a deposit down on it.

Even it the engine goes out on it is still the good tranny, the good rear end, a great body and chassis and interior would definately be worth putting a new or rebuilt engine in. Personally I can't imagine it lasting for a real long time the way I will probably be driving it anyway!

That compression is actually pretty low, you are looking at a rebuild in the very near future if you buy it. If you could get it down to maybe $2500 then yuod have some money left over for a rebuild. Just my $.02,
