Junk Yard Injectors...

Hello everyone.. I am going to the junk yard today to get some injectors for my convertable... There are red injectors in there...do I have to put red injectors back in there? Are there anyothers that I can put in there to get more power...exc...


This is 88 vert. Stock.

Any injectors other than the stock ones will REDUCE power, not increase it. The ECU will make the car run either rich or lean and that will only hurt power.

I found some intjectors - same color... however they are out of a 91... mine is an 88... can I use them?

yes you can, but you will need to remove the inline resitor packs from your harness...

the S4 uses low impendance and S5 uses high...therefore if you leave the resitors in the high imp. injectors will not get the correct signal

I just got the injector... unpluged them and thats all I have....is it just plug and play now?

Didn't they switch from low impedence to high impedence during the '87 model year?

The switch to high impedance occurred sometime in mid '87, so it's likely your car is already set up for high impedance. Your only issue should be that the plugs will not fit as the '89 style injectors have round connectors. Just swap the plugs.
