Junk Yard BOV & IC Pipes

Hey guys, I was at my local junk yard today and even though there were no sevens, I managed to find something usefull. I found these intercooler pipes and METAL BOV on a turbo volvo. I was drawn to the car because I noticed the intercooler was still in it. I started looking around and realized these mandrel bent pipes should come in handy when I do my piping for my turbo first gen project. This BOV looks like it will work well with the stock turbo as well. For info the longer pipe is 2.5 inches in diamater and the smaller is 2 inches. The smaller is perfect for directing the boost from the stock turbo towards the front of the engine bay. the longer pipe with the hose on it cost me 5 bucks and the smaller 3 bucks. The BOV cost me 10 bucks. The hose on the longer pipe should match up perfect with the front mount tb adaptor I bought off of Higgi.

Anyways all these parts came off of a turbo volvo and there were plenty at the yard. Just thought someone doing their own front mount might find some of the parts handy. I was most exited about the pipes, just hoping the BOV will work with the boost levels my stock turbo will be putting out. I think it will though because its adjustable!

Good score. Junkyards are a great place to find useful stuff like that.

That BOV doesn't look any bigger than the stock one (which is also metal), so it may not be any better.

ok thanks. I just have a jspec motor for my conversion so I don't have a stock rx7 blow off so hopefully this one will work for me. I didn't know the stock valves were metal, thats cool. The inlet hole on this one is a little over an inch diameter I believe and i think the outlet is an inch (didn't measure this part). If not, I have some old Greddy blow off valve that is pretty huge but the spring that's in it seems too stiff. I just want to set up a cheap homemade piping system while I am running the stock turbo because I am sure in a few years I will upgrade the turbo, then go for the professionally make polished pipes!
