Angry jumper cables hooked on backwards

My nephew hooked the jumper cables on backwards and now i got the engine to turn over and everything else works. It is 1986 GLX and the alarm system got fried in the process. I figure the factory alarm system got fried and in which caused for the starting system not to work. All my fuses have been check including under the hood. Any suggestion?

Turn the key to ON.

Pull apart the small, white, two wire connector at the LEAD coil assy. It has a black/yellow wire and another wire of another color.

Put the neg lead of a digital meter to ground.

Put meters positive lead on the black/yellow wire.

You should see 12v. If not, a fuse is blown. If you see 12v there....further troubleshooting is required.
