I`m considering a turbo swap using a Jspec engine. My question is this. Since there seems to be somewhat of a problem with the importers sending an S5 when you order an S4 or an S4 when you ordered an S5.
I would be ordering an S4 engine since my car is an `86 GXL. If I end up with the S5 can it be modified to make it an S4?
Since I`m running a Megasquirt standalone would that make a differance?
Would I be better off with the S5 instead?
I know the S4 has a mechanical OMP and the S5 has an electronic OMP. I don`t want to go full premix although I do run about 1/2 oz to the gallon now and plan on continuing that practice. Since I am running the Megasquirt I will need to keep the mechanical OMP so the OMP will work right. MS has no support for Elec OMP at this time and none planned .
