JDM Transmission Wiring to USDM FC

I just finished fighting the transmission in, only to realize the harness from the JDM TII transmission will not mate with the harness coming off the main harness for the car. Does anyone know what the best way to go about this might be? I was thinking of just running my own connectors, but before I do that just want to make sure there isn't a more "O.E." way of doing this...

I already know there is no 5th gear switch on the transmission. Only backup and neutral. I really would probably need the backup lights, but how does the neutral switch work?

The harness coming off the car has the seperate round connectors for the 5thgear/backup light switch, and two more plugs I believe. The JDM harness only has 2 plugs that need to connect somehow to the ecu/body harness. None of the plugs on the JDM transmission match those of the car.

Both are S5 series. Car is N/A, Tranny is TII.

Thanks for the input!

Alright need some help, I can't find the wiring diagram for the USDM spec S5 with manual transmission. I see 4 small seperate wires, then 1 oval white harness coming off the car. I don't know if this is right, but I am guessing the white oval plug is for the ACV 5th gear switch? If so, I think the pair with round connectors go to the backup switch and the other square connectors to the neutral switch right? If anyone has the diagram please post it up!

Thanks!

Got it figured out, the archive had a few post that had the colors for the sensors I needed. More information can be found on my project thread in case anyone needs it:

Exactly as I did it. The plugs didn't match up, or were just missing on my S5 J-spec transmission, so new wire and bullet connectors did the job. By the way, the neutral switch is used by the ECU in adjusting idle speed depending on if you're in/out of gear. When you put it in gear, idle speed can jump up a little bit to assist with takeoff I guess. Also, without the 5th gear switch your shift up light will come on in 5th gear. It's odd at first, but you forget about it soon after.

Good stuff. Since my JDM swap I never had backup lights. This is one of the nagging issues I'm going to address while doing my rebuild. Thanks for the info...very helpful!
