So uh...yeah.

The joke is they take stock turbo engines and remove the turbos purposely. Everyone thinks the japanese are mystical tuners and all JDM rx7s run around with 400rwhp and have engines that last 10 years at a time. I just thought this might get a laugh or 2.

DO none of you guys ever go and look around at some of the **** on yahoo japan, or other japanese sites? They have all kinds of cool and wierd ****. Not only rx-7 stuff, either.

Wow, from what I can tell they just connected an intake tube over where the intercooler piping used to connect to the TB. I wish it had a larger pic of the engine bay so I could see what it looked like better. Anyway, that is some funny **** right there.

Holy ****, I just looked at the second one. Anyone who thinks that is a running car is an idiot. Just from looking at the pictures, you can tell its a flaming piece of crap. He just pulled a/c compressor and left the lines there. Plus the damn belts are loose. It even says that it has bad compression, but that it must have been a mistake in testing it. Wow, that thing is a piece of work.
Also, the wording is weird because the translator does a literal translation, with doesn't ever sound right in any language.

From what I can tell, the japanese could give a rat's *** about selling used rx7s. They post a car up with one or 2 pics and no real information, and it doesnt get any bids, even with a starting bid of like 100 dollars.

most used rx7 parts sell for DIRT over there. like I said, from what I can tell, nobody really cares. Problem is, they don't really want to deal with us over here, nor ship to us...so it doesnt really matter.

For instance, this appears to be a series 5 turbo upgrade with a starting bid of $43. Seller doesnt ship int'l though. http://page10.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/m32626542

We need someone on the forum to be a reliable liason, to find us parts, win auctions, pack and ship them for a reasonable fee. The few guys that I know of that are in japan, are pretty unreliable and hard to get ahold of.

I'm sure we could all have a blast in a wrecking yard over there. Ultra rare super tuning ECU just sitting there. Stacks of BBS 16 infini wheels. Stock exhaust that no one thinks about but we would love because of no cats. All for 10k yen
