Japan S5 turbo open diff, gearing ratio 4.1?

ok so i need to swap the T2 driveshaft\diff\halfshafts in since my 2way wouldn't fit in the NA diff i thought to be T2 diff.

i got a line on a driveshaft\diff\halfshaft from a automatic turbo S5 in japan with open diff. My car's a GXL with S5 T2 engine\tranny. From what I've researched on, it's gonna fit in to my car just fine.

BUT does anyone know if the ring gear ratio is 4.1 on the open diff or is it different?

Like all the other resources i've checked, they don't show anything about the S5 turbo open diff they have in japan
http://www.mazdatrix.com/g5.htm

I'm only needing this drivetrain so i can put my 2way tomei lsd in it. So gear ratio isn't a big deal as it'll fit anyways. I just wanna know if i'll sacrifice any speed

thx

I have never, ever heard tell of an open turbo diff.

In the us, auto cars got 3.9 while manual cars got 4.1. Can't speak for japan. Since stuff gets mixed up a lot over there and in shipping/sales, odds are you're going to have to just take your chances on what you got.

well japan doesn't have NA rx7, so they got a lot of the options you'd get on a NA rx7

I know for a fact that the open-centre diff from my J-spec turbo 5-speed FC had a 4.1:1 ratio. According to Hyper Rev magazine all autos had them too (bottom of page).

Would you like mine? It's surplus to requirement since the FD swap.

Only the GTX and the GT-Limited got an LSD, so there are probably as many or more J-spec FC's with open diffs than with LSD's.
