Intermittent No Start...Update #39

Exclamation Intermittent No Start...Update #39

Well....she still will not start when she don't want to...cranks fine...but no fuel getting by the injectors...then all of a sudden...VVRroooooMM...she will start right up...
1. fuel pump and all surrounding hardware is OK
2. New Ignition Switch OK
3. Good Battery and Alternator...OK
3. Just took the UIM off and replaced all vacuum lines and cleaned grounds...OK...
4. Fuses OK
5. Fuel injection Relay....OK
6. ECU...OK (tried both spares at one time or another)
7. New fuel pressure regulator...OK
8. She is not flooding...plugs are dry during these episodes and when she does
fire up there is no smoke and she runs smoooootthhhh....OK

Does anyone have any idea what I may have missed here....any ideas are welcome.

Oh yeh...88 GTU S4 N/A w/ 5 speed

Under the Stock air filter box & AFM is a silver shielded bracket with 2 harness connectors going under it.
The resistor & relay are mounted to it.

I see a relay bolted just under the and behind the headlight...but no silver shielded part...the relay there has black rubber like the otherss....am I looking in right place? its under and just in front of the air box....
